Founded in 2003 by Professor Pier Cristoforo Giulianotti, the School of Robotic Surgery (SCR) in Grosseto is a globally recognized leader in robotic-assisted minimally invasive surgery training. Known for its high standards in teaching and research, SCR has trained over 1000 surgeons and developed specialized programs for both nurses and entire surgical teams. The school collaborates with major scientific organizations, top surgical centers worldwide, and universities to enhance training and offer master’s programs for nurses.
SCR’s mission is to advance and expand robotic surgery practice through multi-level training for surgeons and operating room nurses. Its offerings include hands-on courses, online modules, and tailored collaboration programs with hospitals, focusing on skill integration into clinical practice. Training covers a range of specialties—including general surgery, urology, gynecology, ENT, and thoracic surgery—and offers specialized modules for complex procedures. SCR’s advanced simulation labs, with dry, wet, and animal labs, allow participants to gain practical experience and engage directly with experts, fostering both professional growth and career advancement.
