The School of Robotic Surgery began operating in 2004. Our school provides students with a team, teaching facilities, and an advanced simulation platform for a unique full immersion experience in robotic surgery.
Every year, numerous courses on robotic surgery are held at the Ospedale della Misericordia, attracting participants from all over the world.

The scientific structure
The first is an institutional level of the AUSL Toscana Sud Est (Local Health Authority of South-East Tuscany), governed by specific company regulations and providing for:
- A school director;
- A scientific director;
- A scientific steering committee.
The school director, scientific director, and scientific steering committee are internal figures within the company and are appointed by the General Director of the South East Tuscany Local Health Authority (AUSL Toscana Sud Est) by specific resolution. They are responsible for the organization, management, and development of the SCR.
