Federico Gheza

Dr. Gheza graduated with honours at the University of Brescia in 2006.
As general Surgery resident, he get experiences as clinical fellow in the liver, pancreas and kidney transplant unit in Strasbourg (2010).
His first robotic experience was in 2011 as research fellow at the University of Illinois Minimally Invasive Surgery Department, headed by Prof. Giulianotti.
He completed residency in 2012 in Brescia (Italy) defending a thesis on “the application of the DaVinci surgical platform to general and vascular surgery”.
Since 2013 he cooperates with the International School of robotic surgery, mainly taking care of the wet lab activities. At the same time he runs courses of basic laparoscopic surgery (FLS-program based) for residents and surgeons.
F. Gheza currently works as clinical fellow in the Clinical Surgery at the University of Brescia, facing routinely robotic surgery in surgical practice. Field of interests range from HPB to transplant and colorectal, mostly focused on oncologic surgery.
